The negotiations for reconciliation in Iraq began

Negotiations in Iraq ceasefire began. The talks were held between government officials and supporters of radical Shiite leader Moqtada Sadr. A representative of Shiites said the negotiations "are going in the right direction," but declined further information. Shortly before the Iraqi government asked the Shiite rebels to disarm, but they categorically refused. Serious fighting began in Baghdad, Basra and Karbala, as in many other cities on March 25.
